Asset name:

Green Moose Interpretation Centre

Description:

Opened in 2009, the Green Moose Interpretation Centre explores the complex and changing inter-relationships between people and the land. Decades of logging around Roddickton, Newfoundland have created an unexpected result – the perfect moose habitat. Roddickton – the "Moose Capital of the World" – now has the largest density of moose in North America. A nuisance to some, moose – an introduced species – are now woven into our way of life and may even prove to be the key to our future.
