The French Rooms Cultural Centre, located at 85 Fisher Street in Port au Choix, Newfoundland and Labrador, is a volunteer-run, non-profit organization dedicated to preserving and showcasing the rich local history of the area. Visitors can explore exhibits detailing the French fishing heritage, the Resettlement Era—including a film depicting the relocation of the Rumbolt family home—and artifacts from the Point Riche Lighthouse. A highlight of the centre is the reconstructed French bread oven, where guests can observe baking demonstrations and sample fresh rolls topped with local jams. The centre also offers the opportunity to dress in period costumes for photographs in a traditional chaloupe, providing an immersive cultural experience.
