Bottom Brook Trail

Description:

Bottom Brook Trail is a scenic walking path located in St. Anthony, Newfoundland and Labrador. This approximately 1.4-kilometer loop trail is generally considered easy and takes an average of 17 minutes to complete. It's a popular spot for birding, hiking, and leisurely walks, offering opportunities to observe local wildlife and enjoy views of St. Anthony Harbour. The trail winds along Bottom Brook through the middle of the town, leading to the waterfront-perfect for a leisurely after-dinner walk to catch the colorful sunset. Nature lovers will appreciate the lush foliage and the presence of a waterfowl sanctuary that protects various species of ducks and other birds. Don't forget to bring your binoculars for bird-watching opportunities. Access to the trail is convenient, with multiple entry points from Cabot Street, Harbourview Road, or Marine Drive. The trail features flat, stable surfaces suitable for both walking and biking. Please note that ATVs and dirt bikes are not permitted. If you plan to feed the ducks, it's recommended to offer cracked corn, oats, rice, birdseed, frozen peas, chopped lettuce, or sliced grapes instead of bread.
